Opportunity: Upcoming Info Sessions About Prestigious Scholarships
Look This
As you're exploring your options for college and beyond, you may be thinking about graduate school sometime in the future. Attend an upcoming info session to learn more about future opportunities and how to be a compelling applicant when the time comes:
Gates-Cambridge (Thursday, September 24, 5:30-6:30, 207 Milbank)
Gates Cambridge Scholarships are highly competitive, prestigious full-cost scholarships available for all citizens (except those from the UK) to pursue a post-graduate degree in any subject available to study at the University of Cambridge. The Scholarship programme was established in 2000 by a donation of $210 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with the aim to build “a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.”
Soros Fellowship for New Americans (Monday, September 28, 12-1, 202 Milbank)
Every year, the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans awards thirty Fellowships to immigrants, and the children of immigrants, who are pursuing graduate education in the United States. Each award is worth up to $90,000 (up to $25,000/year stipend; up to $20,000/year tuition support). Awards support up to two years of full-time graduate study in any field, including the visual and performing arts, and at any graduate degree-granting institution in the United States, with the exception of online programs. In addition to funding, Fellows join a community of over 500 New Americans with family origins in over 75 different countries.
